Interpersonal skills - Then and now. Final Blog Post

THEN AND NOW....what I have achieved working on my interpersonal skills.

My interpersonal skills that i wanted to improve on were saying no without feeling guilty, speaking up in front of a group and telling people how I feel. I have improved in speaking up in front of a group as this block as went on but am not sure if that is because I am comfortable with the people in my class. I would have to test this out by speaking in a group of strangers. when it comes to saying no more then I have improved slightly but I think that comes down to my personality... AM JUST TOO NICE! and telling people how I feel has not improved as I am just that type of person who doesn't like opening up too much unless you are a close friend or family.

One area I have become aware of is that I am a little unconsciously biased when it comes to males working and females looking after the family... outwardly this is not my views so was surprised to find out that they prejudices were inside! I believe this is due to getting brought up by grandparents and my gran was very family oriented and my grandfather was the worker.

Above is the results from my groups thoughts on my interpersonal skills. this was done via a survey. I do agree with the results in a way but feel because I don't outwardly show my personality so this is not entirely accurate. it does  shows that I do need to make a little improvement on things especially team work as I feel I could improve on this.. I feel sometimes I work well within a group but this can change depending on my mood on the day.

key areas of interpersonal skills improvement -

Team work,
listening skills,
patience.

I feel the above skills need some improvement but have improved a lot over the past year or so but there is always room for improvement and these skills I can improve on a daily basis.
